In the Women’s category another upset was recorded as the tournaments number 1 ranked player Kate foo Kune of Mauritius was shown the exit door by India’s Riya Mookerjee 22-20, 21-13 .Nigeria’s number 1 ranked female player Dorcas Adesokan won against South Africa’s Jophanita Scholtz 21-9, 21- 15. Deborah Ukeh edged past Samin Abedkhojasteh of Iran 21-15, 15-21, 21-16.
